Frequently asked questions about ECRM [FAQ]

Q: What is the cost when I contract with you?

The cost will be dependent on the services required. The cost and the payment conditions will be agreed between us. A reasonable win-win agreement will be reached prior to the start of any services.

Q: What is your fee structure? Do you work on an hourly basis, a project basis or on a retainer?

The short answer is all of the above. Generally, we prefer to work on a retained or project basis. Let's agree on what needs to be done, how long it will take and what it will cost. No surprises. Sometimes a situation can be very complex and hard to define in which case we may request an hourly arrangement. We can also provide you with ongoing assistance and advocacy for a fixed monthly fee.

Q: Do you provide written estimates or terms of business?

Absolutely. Estimates are used when we and you can define a set of tasks are to be completed in a specified period of time. Our terms of business spells out other details such as payment rules etc. Both documents benefit both parties.

Q: Should I be concerned about the security of my confidential data?

No. Due to the most elementary ethics, any information provided by you or gathered by is absolutely confidential. We serve you in the most efficient and effective way possible. We are happy to agree and sign a confidentiality agreement prior to our relationship so that both of us can be confident in the arrangement.

Q: Are you linked to corporations, franchises or other consulting firms?

No. We are an independent company devoted exclusively to services in which we have experience. To solve some problems, we will honestly admit not to possessing the appropriate competence. In these cases, we will suggest other firms or supporting companies. This suggestion will be made from total independence.

Q: How do you reach a conclusion about any issue?

Most of our projects, once jointly analysed, have a 'conceptual' solution that is usually simple to present. (Think like a sports coach!). On the other hand, implementation usually requires detailed input. With this approach, the project is can be well understood and efficiently developed. We look for the root cause of the problems and / or key actions with highest leverage. Complexity is not a quality that we believe helps either party.

Q: How would you describe your ideal and your worst client?

The ideal client has a clear vision / mission for their business and needs expert assistance in making that vision / mission a reality. We help by finding the right tools to apply and creating the best solution for you. Frankly, the worst clients are those that think they want to change the way they do business to make things better, but lack the willpower to confront change. We both end up spending a lot of time on the project. We have nothing to show but some revenue and they are upset. These relationships don't last long, since both of us soon wonder why we're bothering. We're not in this just for the money. We want to see our clients succeed.
